Hi all

Will it be possible to modify/fit a double spare wheel carrier in palace of the original? If you know Engel from 4x4community and "daai Datsun" , like on the back of the datsun. I don't know if the door will carry the extra weight. Or is it better to find a better place for the extra spare. It will look cool me think

The ones I've seen are fitted to the rear bumper and not the door. I dont think a second wheel would fit onto the rear door anyways.

I think weight is the issue with the wheel.

It is possible. I have seen an Australian web site that makes them for all Pajeros, including the Gen 4.

End of the day, where is the towhitch bolted too>> The same place that would carry the bumper. If this is tight, then there should be no reason for a double wheel carrier as well as a descent bumper shouldn't hold.

I really like the mods our Ozzi friends are doing.

A rear bumper modification is a definite thing on my list. I am doing less and less trails, but getting more into over landing. Doubt that a serious bumper is a necessity then, but going to decide after Namibia.

Thanks for the links. That looks good. I will keep it in mind when building replacement rear bumper.
