I had some issues with my Gen2.5 3.5 V6's cruise control - it was not consistent in it's control of the speeds on different occasions. I never did understand it's logic.
Piri, your Gen 3 is a Jap import if I am not mistaken, is it not? I believe this is the reason why your speed control will not accept a set speed of more than 110 km/h. This limitation must be imposed by some Japanese road regulation. I have heard of Jap import Land Cruiser owners that have run into the same issue.
Some of them have been provided with a solution by Michael Stauder, the owner of Erongo Auto Electric in Walvis Bay, Namibia. The last info that I could trace stated that his cell number was 00264 81 127 6500. Apparently a cruise control adjuster is added to sort this out. Perhaps he would be able to help you on the Pajero as well.

No, the earlier V6 Gen 3s (up to around 2003) had the SOHC version of the 3.5 V6 (6G74) motor similar to the ones used in the SA spec Blister Fender Gen 2(.5) SWB (Note that SA spec LWB Gen 2 3.5 V6s all used the much more complex DOHC version of the 6G74 with the variable intake manifold).macjohnw wrote:Question: Aren't the Gen 3's petrol a 3.8 V6?
The 3.8 V6 Gen 3 (with the 6G75 SOHC motor) was launched in 2004 if I recall correctly.
