May I be so bold as to edit your advice a touch, it could make the next guys life easier when he attemts this highly technical procedure?
"Turn ignition on to ACC so dashboard lights come on. Turn Radio off using on/off button on radio. Hold in channel 4 button and then HOLD in on/off button until the CT disappears."
To re-activate the CT is of course just a repeat of the procedure above.
