I haven't found any yet, still looking, the circumference is a bit small for the LED's I have seen so far.
Thanks/Dankie David
How did you remove the red light clusters from the doors? Don't want to force them too much...
Cheers

Charles,
Can't remember, will check tonight when home and let you know. Most of them clip off with a small flat screwdriver if I remember correctly, but will confirm.

Hi Charles,
It is just the red cover that comes off and not the whole light which comes out of the door, can use your hands to get off or a flat screwdriver with some cloth around to protect the lens, please see below image on the 2 points which secure the red lens cover.

Hope that helps

Do you perhaps know which globes the top/center rear brakelight will take if I go LED on that?
I ordered the other globes as per your list as well as 2 double contact brakelights and will see how they work. Will report back.
I also forgot about those lights in the doors. I would also like replace them. The idea is that my consumption when stationary for a few days out in the bush is very low, but still have lights.

Thanks David!
That did the trick, used a very small flat screwdriver from the side.
Looks like a 5w festoon globe of abut 27 x 7 mm.... Let us know if come across some of them in LED.
Thanks

Cats,
Who did you order the interior lights from and please give an indication of the price.

I bought them from 4x4direct.co.za online.
Check the website for prices. Delivery was fast(I used courier to my door) and I recieved everything this week Tuesday.
Have installed the front ones, but unfortunately I ordered the incorrect 37mm instead of 31mm globes for the rear and back/side lights, so will order the correct ones again and have delivered.
I must admit that although nice and white light flow from the front lights, I think that the light intensity is less than what I had with the normal bulbs. So would not say that it makes MORE light, just whiter light. This is the case with my front lights and the globes that I bought as replacement. Maybe there are stronger LED globes out there but the 5led one that I got this definately the case.
Still I am happy with the change as it gives a nice clean white light spread in the cabin, which is still good to find whatever you need.

CATS,
The rear door and boot light does make a big difference in the volume of light, the front as you indicated is just a whiter light but the volume and effect is similar, I am still happy with the change though. The others are focussed 6 LED's which makes a big difference in light quality and spread for the rear doors and boot.
Cheers

OK having a look at the globes there appears to be a new LED which will work better for the front console (sorry CATS). I also checked the rear centre mounted brake light and it it takes 3 x T10 globes, so I am going to move the ones from the front and place in rear and get the more powerful for the front. The Number plate light is also the T10, just the smaller version.
This is what I had put in the front and suggested (appears there is better already, so my apologies on that suggestion, my bad
) - Only had 5 LED's
This is what I will be placing in the front now (has 20 LEDs) and move the older ones to the brake light on the boot This is what I will be adding for the Number Plate Light This is what I will be testing for the Brake Light, but out of stock at the moment
