That clears it up: They are 7" rims and are therefore perfect for 265/70R16 or 245/75R16. Those wider tyres will probably also look much nicer on your alloy rims than the old 235/80R16 ones do.

Gerrit I'll read your post on the gearing issue again and see if I understand. I think I'll rather keep with the 265/70R16 as I do very little off-road driving.
