Eish Alicat,

Do you still drive that nice Pajero, or is it used for wreck diving in the Boteti? :D

Heh heh, Pajero Powered ferry indeed :D We drove the Paj up the ramp onto the ferry and that was it, ferry sank and got stuck on the river bed! So we ended up reversing to the end of the ferry, accelerating to the front and with some seriously hard braking and 3 or 4 attempts at that, the momentum got the ferry moving and afloat.... Good fun!! :D

seeing alicat's beast on the ferry and the small 4x4 course I did on the weekend, reiterates that I'm a happy paj owner now.
Just gave it a run to Maseru and back.
A real pleasure, just need to figure out where a funny clanging sound is actually coming from, (sounds like someone dropping a piece of angle iron).Only happens every now & then.
The smash & grab helps a lot, also had a Kenwood DDX unit installed (2nd hand). still struggling to get the Garmin GVN53 & unit to read the latest maps, cannot get T4a & streetmap to display properly.
Bit bummed that the Chobe photographic course / trip is cancelled for July. will have to look for something else now!

Maybe we should have a Black Paj small get together, jhb area ??, any takers, ideas.

Hi there

We hooked some quads and travelled to Van Zyls Rus.(Staying in Hotazel) Off loaded the quads and used my 2005 GLS LWB 3.8 V6 as the back up vechile. Travelled along the SA Bots border with lots of loose sand, rocks and gravel road. Handelled everything like a dream. It just purred. Might not have a black one(Silver) but you look past the fuel consumption and enjoy the drive. We did a 170km loop and used just on a three quarter tank. But we played hard so the fuel consumption is exceptable.
