Anyone know if there's aftermarket pollen filters available for Gen 4?
Eish that GUD price is hellish, I buy them from Mitsubishi in Nelspruit for less than half of that.
Same thing happens here in Mozambique, the GUD prices are crazy.
Cant you import 5 or more from an agent in S.A and have them delivered in Namibia? That is what i do, plus the litres and litres of Delo400.

If you want to do some DIY work, you can follow the route that I take with the pollen filter:
When I took the Pajero pollen filter out for the first time, I was not impressed with it - especially when I compared it to a used Audi A4 filter I still had in my garage. The Audi element is of a much better quality, the filter element itself is much bigger - for the purists: if you flatten it and compare to a flattened Pajero filter - and denser and it is about 30% cheaper. I then decided to try and transplant the Audi A4 pollen filter - cut to size - into the Pajero filter holder. The job entailed the following:
i) get the Audi filter - dealer or aftermarket at Golfwagen.
ii) Cut the old Pajero element out of the holder.
iii) Cut the Audi filter so that it will fit into the Pajero holder.
iv). Use contact adhesive and glue the Audi element into the Pajero holder.
v) Allow to dry and install.
I have used transplanted Audi pollen filters for years and am totally satisfied with the results. Use aftermarket filters from Golfwagen for a bigger saving. In either case: it is an improvement and saves money.
