Less Mozzies is already an improvement but the key driving factor is my wifes annual home leave a few days later. Malaria is not the field of expertise for German docs and hospitals - as far as I know, they need to know even about several variants if it comes to the worst case.
We'll be next week along the wild coast - that's also on our "to do" list

Will the germans let her through customs if she was in a malaria area a week before?

Where are you going?
Most of it is impoverished 3rd world Africa.
There are a few 1st world spots, if you know where to look.

Yes - why not, Mozambique is not on any "black list" in Germany - they probably would'nt like to get a few Mozzies in ? We have 2 valid passports each. One with work-/residence permit for here and AP countries, the other for travel in Europe, Israel and NA.

2 days Port St. John, 2 days Coffee Bay - the rest will be planned on demand...I'm pretty confident we'll survive...
