I only run low on diesel when I am in a hurry and it drives me crazy when the attendant takes 20 minutes to drip in the last 2 Litres. For me it's simply fill to "first click" and I am out of there. Consumption is monitored by the fleet management company and the monthly reports always show it to be "within specification" so I am comfortable with my standard operating procedure.

Same for me here. If it clicks it is full or very nearly at least. I hate it when they start shaking the car I sommer get seasick . No time to waste.

I fill up to the brim and then drive until the Petrol/Diesel light comes on and then go to the nearest filling station, 90% of the time. I will fill up to the brim before going on a long trip.
