I like the Maxxii Bravos Marius put on his Gen2.
The tread pattern is very similar to the Dueller 694s, the price not.

Don't knock the hankooks. I've had no problems at all with the 31" tyres.
I've always had the best service at Tiger Wheel & Tyre at N1 City. Always ask for discount.
The Local Hi-Q has quoted me R1200 on the new Wranglers.... might go for those...just awaiting feedback from Bridgestone and Jon at Maxxis

What is your views on Mickey Thompson MTZ's I hear they are quite the tyre in Australia.
Not having any answers from Maxxis, I have settled on the GY Wrangler AT/SA, so have ordered a set of 265/75R15's.
These seem to be the best value for money tyre at the moment at R1200 inc fitting and balancing. Only problem is it will only be mid March ex factory.
Many people are still trying to persuade me that MT tyres are very much the way to go but I just cannot see why. Other than the aggro looks they have no positives for me... from what I have researched and experienced with mates' vehicles

- Much noisier... I rather hear the v6 growl than the tyres
- Poorer wet performance on tar... I'd rather struggle a lit more off road than compromise safety on road
- Generally more expensive...duh!
- Shorter life span... this seems to be a bone of contention but I just cannot see one getting 80000km on a set of muds

Brent Clark will tell you that the AT/SA's have enough traction offroad.
The Pajero sport had them on at De Kraal and they seemed to grip well enough. You won't get the milage of BFG's ( I think ) but at that price I think you made a good decision.
