On another note, can your fuelly be correct for a 3.2 DiD? 14,8 l/100km? That seems rather heavy to say the least?

Roelf is spot on! Also remember that I mostly use my Pajero for touring and thus it never sees the open road without my 1.8ton Xplorer hooked up as well, not too mention the fully loaded roofrack. So the fuel consumption average is not really a comparison for anyone.

By the way I own a Disco4 diesel as well and it does even worse as it does 16l/100km avg!! It really does not like my daily slog where I travel 10km in 1 hour with the traffic!

I took the car for a drive last night and fortunately didn't see any major movement on the dash on a badly corrugated road, so that's a relief.

The car has been named "Tafika". This is a Malawian name meaning 'I'm home'.

had a look at the mitsu website and those feature listed for the MY13 are only for GLS and Exceed models, so SSG your GLX might still be a MY13

I am closing in on two Pajero LWB, 2013 2H. 4H, 4HLc , 4LLc the las two have Centr Diff Locked.
But the 2014 has Central Diff Lock + Rear Diff Lock.

For off road driving how important is the Rear Diff. Lock.

They drop it from specs for a few years and then bring it back. Was that to satisfy the Off Road Community.

Roelf, can you advise what Accessories/Mods Mitsubishi will allow without invalidating Warranty ?

Hi Bushbug,

Sorry, Roelf can't tell you what mods are allowed. He doesn't know and even if he did, he sure doesn't have the authority to do so . I wouldn't take the word of anybody on the sales floor in that regard either. Remember a warranty claim is a very "cold" process that is handled in the corporate office, and they do not consider the opinion of the salesman who sold you the car.

Your other question:
1) Rear diff lock is very important when doing serious off-road stuff. I use my Pajero for holidays in the outback and the odd excursion into the mountains, I find the traction control more than adequate and have never bogged down in a Pajero. If I were to consider doing 4x4 trails and competing with the Jones', then I would like to have a rear diff lock.
