You can chase me with those. Then again, you'd not catch me as I believe them to be puncture prone.
Duellers gave me roughly one puncture a month..... and only about 40/50k Km's
Current BFG's, one in two years. Done 60k Km's and they are tired.....

Hence me looking for strong HT tires.

Have you considered the Cooper Zeon.
That's most probably what I will get next for the Touareg.

Soooo... Seems like a stronger tyre for 19inch rims, but also comes out for 17"...

But i thought AT3 is also 50/50 road/off road...

What gives?

I would not get H/T tyres for a car like the Pajero. They won't last as long and AT tyres are very good all rounders. I am on Hankook Dynapro ATMs and I am very happy, done some rough stuff and long distance tar and they are quiet and strong. They are not that cheap though. The Goodyear's are good, the Cooper AT3 are also good tyres but why don't you look at the General Grabber A/T? It won a recent tyre shootout where the tests were aimed more at on-road and gravel safety/performance than hard offroad work. They seem to be a good compromise between H/T and A/T?

Ok, so today I went to TWT.

Looked at the Velocity Raptor tires. R1800 a piece, not too shabby, but seeing its a new tire on the market, theres little feedback on life / performance

Hankook AT (not sure exact description) come with a 80,000 guarantee. R2700 each....

Still gonna keep looking.

Also got some details of a person to speak to regarding my existing BFG's with just over 30k on them. Doubt I can do much as the original purchase invoice is needed!!! Eish.....

Hey Kai
All the suggestions sound pretty good, just stay away from Pirelli Scorpions. Got a slow puncture on a regular gravel road after only I had only had them on for 3 days and the tyre destroyed itself. I can't even use it as a spare. Zero assistance from the manufacturer so wasted R2700. Seems not only the F1 boys are having Pirelli problems.

Good Day Kaiv

I have fitted 4 Velocity Rapture on my SWB 31x10.5x15". The rims are of the LWB and the tyres clears well in wheel arches. Price R6600.00 incl VAT(balancing and 4wheel alignment Included) @ TWT. Velocity Rapture are manufactured by Continental for TWT(Tiger)

BF Package would have cost R17000.00 all inclusive. Saving of R10400.00

For what's it worth.
