Two independent 4X4 mags ran extensive tests on AT tyres & guess what? The Grabbers came out tops in both tests. See http://www.leisurewheels.co.za/blogs/15 ... kLSKp.dpuf for the Leisure Wheels test.
As a result of this I fitted 265/75/16 Grabbers to my 2.8TDI Pajero & the ride is excellent, braking phenomenal. Wouldn't say they are noisier than my previous Yokos, either.
I paid <R1450/tyre at SuperQuick in PE. They are made in Czech Republic (not China or India). I have not had them in the dirt, though.

I went through all the opinions and magazine road tests etc this time last year. bought Hankook Dynapro ATm's and have been very happy with them. managed to get a proper side-wall cut when I went out playing. basically wrote-off a 1 week old tyre - but that was all driver stupidity - we live and learn.

They preformed very well on the rock climbing and is excellent on the tar as-well. went playing in the sand also without problems. I just need to pump them at 2.2 / 2.3 bar otherwise they seem a bit soft on the tar.

My revised opinion of the Hankooks...... They are not too bad for the first 20/30,000. Then you can start enjoying a slipping and a sliding on wet roads. Got to a point where I got a bargain on BFG AT's that I couldnt let go

Well I decided that my mileage does not warrant the price on my favourate BFG's so settled on the much talked about General Grabber AT at a more rrasonable price. They look the part as more off roadish. They have a definate hum on tar so more noisy than the Dunlop Grandtrek HT they replaced. Will see how they go in the rough stuff and fully loaded.

I do a lot of sand and tar road driving. For this, the wrangler is by far the best. Quiet on the tar(no radio needed) and I get excellent mileage on the tar. When I do mud, I would certainly look for a grabber.
