Re: Prospective owner with lots of questions

A local workshop said it was easy they will remove the rack send it away for repairs and then fit it again. If I new then what I know now I would not had it done. When the rack was repaired and fitted the ESP light was on permanently on. I took it to the dealer to check what was wrong. Here follows a list of what I had to repair: Clock spring behind steering, gearbox overhauled, Engine management computer replaced, alternator, front diff bushes. The Jeep was out of order for six months. I thought all the problems must be fixed and I can drive carefree, wrong then the steering lock with the key pick-up packed-up and a week later the gearbox again went into limp mode. I had to refurbish the gearbox again. I spend all in all over R100 000 to keep the Jeep running. I sold it and got a 2010 LWB Pajero GLX with less than 40 000km on the clock for R250 000. Very happy. I tell you this because you don't know what is hidden and unless you have lots of money and patience don't by the old Pajero.
Be Blessed
