Finally, the time has come, a few pics, due to some minor tweaks and work done over the week-end.

1stly, moved the trailer wiring loom socket from on the extension plate, to mount directly on the bumper (no longer necessary to disconnect it when removing the extension plate.

Finished product (no more disconnecting the cable when removing towbar extension plate)

That is a good upgrade, that thing is always hitting the ground and it's not strong enough to take it. This is on my (very long) list of things to do. Right hand side is probably better, but I don't really think it makes a big difference.

Hey Arnijr,

Good to see your still around, thanks, I think at some point I'm going to see if I can't do some sort of Flush-mounting or something, since I cant move it over now due to the holes, or maybe just make/find a socket that doesn't stick out so much.

Alternatively, I could manufacture a plate that wraps around the top (like an upside down horseshoe of 2/3 mm with a backplate.
That way, I stop rainwater from getting into the socket at the top, and provide an extra spot to stand on when going for the roofrack (although, this might be overkill).

You must let us know when/if you ever come to S.A.

Maybe (if it reaches) I will put it om the RHS, to reduce risk of someone stepping on it.

Hi Anton,

As it is, it wont reach the RHS, you will have to extend the cable by about 30cm.
Although that should be easily achievable. :D
