Hi Simon and other Hankook users.
How is these tyres treating you and how is the mileage on them? I am due for a new set of tyres because the BFG's are nearing end of life. Done nearly 90000 km
I would love to fit a set of BFGs but at double the price of Hankooks I think NOT...

Any advise???

The comment of half the price of BFG is encouraging.

Can anybody confirm the available sizes (for South Africa) and estimated prices?
(Specifically 18")

TWT's site does not list sizes, but it has a feature to lodge an enquiry, which .........

....... does nothing. No response!

Last time I spoke to a salesman at TWT, (2 weeks ago) he told me the price of the 31" was actually less than when I bought them 7 months ago. That would be in the region of R1300 each. Good value for money IMHO.

I didn't ask about any of the other sizes at the time, but I would assume the prices would have remained constant since last year.

Needing to replace my 17 " tyres I decided to buy some second-hand 16 " rims to improve my tyre choice.

I opted for 265 / 70 - 16 Hankook RF10s and so far am happy with them. They cost R1800 per tyre from TWT including fitment, balancing and alignment. TWT Claremont really impressed me with their level of service.

I was expecting them to be a lot noisier than the Geolanders they replaced, but I've been surprised - they aren't that bad. I haven't taken them off-road yet, but am heading up to the Kalahari, Namaqualand and Tanqua next month so will report back anything significant.
