Hi John,
What feedback have you had to-date on the 12 vehicles that you did the fix on?
Are you prepared to expose what the fix is so that some of us DIYers can get relief from this madness.
I had a 1972 FJ60 Land Cruiser with more than 350000kms on it prior to acquiring my GLX and it never had the in-car noise that the Pajero generates.
Regards,
Norman Archibald

Hi Norman
We got good feedback from the guys with the cable tie fix.
However recently i had the opportunity to do a 2013 lwb.
What i did was start with a test drive on a bad road.We looked at the movement and then i went to work and added the two cable ties.
The next test drive revealed that it certainly made a difference but not as good as with the brackets combined. So i put in one bracket into the clients car and the difference was vast.yes there is still some movement but its so much beter. It seems to also quieten down any other noises that are caused by the moving dash.
Before i was a memeber here I posted my finding on a thread called Gen4 build quality on the 4x4community forum..There you will find the bracket fix and the cable tie fix with videos and photos.
I have however maybe found a new way of getting the centre area rigid without the brackets (which are quite tough to install)using cable ties aswell..But until i have done a proper test of this I with withhold posting it for now.
You are more than welcome to contact me if you need some assistance

It will be great if we work on this problem as it is the only problem I have with my Pajero. We travel 10 km per day on a gravel road (a year ago maintained) and the dash rattle is bad.

Riaan, where do you live? I can help you fix the dash rattle with the cable tie fix in less than an hour. I'm in Lonehill, near Fourways.

It's not that easy to explain. I'm in EL from 26 April to the 29th or so. Maybe we can hook up somewhere and I can show you?
