Cats,
Your last para refers: At last you are planning to take the correct action!! BUT:: AB will tell you that you have used (read abused) the new engine and damaged the engine in the process and that they will only come halve-way to the party.
Keep on fighting. Me think that money back plus Rxxk is the only acceptable route for you to take. Even if they re-do the job and the new engine is "normal", you will never have faith in old Snoops again.

I was also wanting to know how is snoopy. Please let us know
Sorry all
I have made appointment with AB, who was accomodating as always, to take Snoopy and show them my problem when towing my van first hand but I had to postpone this now 3 times due to various reasons. Work and a building project at my house being the main culprits. I have postponed till next week so can hopefully do it then. Problem is that I need to hook up the Xplorer and then travel to Springs from Centurion, do some tests and go back. Basically a whole day out of my life and in my profession where I sell time it can be a costly story.

I took that red racer over the mountain again today. We went looking for old ventilation holes. What an absolute pleasure. Returned a cool 20L/100 with lots of lowrange work included

Quick question
Does anybody know if it is possible to 'lock' the viscous fan temporarily without breaking it? Maybe with cable ties or something? I spoke to a gentleman the other day and reckons it must be the viscous causing my grief. AB has tested on the dyno and they reckon it is still fine. I know Andrew has also been adamant that it could be the cause.
Since I can now replicate the problem easily when towing on a hill not far from my house I was wondering if I cant lock the viscous and go drive that same hill this long weekend and see if it changes the results at all. Not keen to spend another R3500 on something that might be the problem but will if it is the cause.

I have an old one which I swapped out a few years ago in the garage.
You are welcome to have it if you would like to try and lock it somehow for your experiment.
My problem at the time turned out to be a blocked radiator which I had cleaned inside and out at Silverton.
The problem however came back within a year! This time MITSPRO had it cleaned again and according to them Silverton puts in a generic antifreeze which can cause problems with the Pajies radiator, which has a very fine core. Mitspro refilled with the genuine Mitsu stuff and I have not had a problem with overheating since. This was in 2012!
Let me know.
