Hi guys,
I have made a lifting plate, fitted it and it works 100%. Those interested can inspect it in Barberton coming Friday/ Saturday.
Cloyd
Are these available to buy - thread seems to have died ?

Buckinghamrd,
Yes it died. Many persons showed interest and were willing to come and test the plate BUT I think due to the fact that the plate will not have a "Stof pad" or any other "designer label" or sign on it NOR the inflated price tag, they lost interest. My plate is on my Pajero and it works as designed.

Thanx for the reply. I am happy to make my own up, any pointers ?

Don't sell yourself short Cloyd! Stofpad and Lynx started the same way. Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a way to your door...

I think there is a BIG market! Why do you say it is dead? I was not interested to fit plate as my gen 3 does not need it, but I am sure there will be many gen4 users that will grab the opportunity.
Will you be able to produce such wheel lifter mass? Cost? Do you have one that we can fit onto a gen4 (Tuinvurk come in!) to be able to take photos and check clearances?
Lets get this thing on the market through the club.

Cats, Cloyd and I had a brief discussion on the mountain.
1) I agree there could be a big demand.
2) We will need a test bed - Tuinvurk does come to mind.
3) The cover could pose a smallish problem from an appearance point, but I think the wiper poses a bigger obstacle.

I did not properly look at Cloyd's design but if it is similar to the one in the original post that I did, it should clear the cover and wiper etc. The fitment sheet only make mention of a wire that needs to be tied out the way with cableties. The rest remain stock?

My little office scale ruler says we can lift the Gen4 spare wheel by about 20mm before the wiper gets in the way. I'll be prepared to spend a few hard earned Rand for that.
