Re: Before offroading
Hi Josef,

Simon is spot on, that is a competition track which requires alot of mods (and you will still get damage with all the mods available, that is also certain unfortunately), those conditions look rather extreme, and would rather not do those with a rather new Gen 4 Pajero, or actually even with my Gen Pajero unless it was just for fun with no pressure from crowds and other people, etc, that just doesn't end well.

We did a trail a while back with a guy with a SVM (kind of jeep in SA), and he drove like a mad man, he did alot of damage and I did the same route in my Paj, without a scratch. Also driving home he found that 1 of the U bolts holding his rear suspension snapped and we had to do a roadside repair, also his prop shaft came off during one of the obstacles. So although it may look cool with a 4x4 flying through the air, the end result is unfortunately always damage, my view is drive correctly, if you cannot make, it that is also OK, nothing wrong with that either (Not that it happens often :-)), but I will be driving my car still for 10 years and enjoying every moment, and he will be fixing his 4x4 every time he uses it.

If you have some videos to share on youtube, would love to see it though.

Cheers

David
