Thanks guys, it is starting to get there, little piece by little piece.
I am very happy with the std bumper, the other stuff is a nice to have and I don't need the bling and costs around R2000 more, so was a real bargain IMHO and does the job I need.

Those are 2 high lift jack points on the bumper, also 2 spot mounting points as well and spots will be mounted soon, very soon.

I am curcious about the high ift jack points due to the type of chassis, is this a good idea or not, CATS your input here would be useful as you have a few such points on your bumpers and rock sliders.

Finally got some smash and grab added, not too dark though. Should maybe have gone a little darker... Went with 50% up front and 35% for the boot area, should maybe have gone with 50% only for drivers window and 35% the rest, so you learn I guess.

Steves window tinting in Jakaranda street, Centurion has a special at the moment if anyone is interested. PM me if u need contact details.

Got the trapezium double bike rack, very nice rack, weighs in at around 7kg and can expand to take another 1 or 2 bikes. Nice feature is is can be mounted on centre and off centre mounted spare wheel.

TrapDev service was also excellent, pic shows the 3 positions which can be used.

Have added some sponge strips front and back for some protection of bike and paint for rubbing off.

Nice mods David! Looking good!

Im curious about the impact the new front bumper had on the ride height?

Hi Karl,

Thanks, the suspension impact was 15mm lower up front and higher in the rear, but fuel was around 30l less for before and after measurements, I started another post on suspension height, please can you add your heights to that one when you get a few mins, will be nice to compare the Gen3 and Gen4, even if just age or mileage difference.

I don't know how to add the link from my Blackberry...

Cheers

David

Finally got my BushBaby trailer suspension upgraded today, replaced the 8 pack blades with 10 pack blades, the 8 blades were a bit done and to reduce some sway with the TTT on top, now just 2 x 40-50l tanks under the belly and a small roof rack on the nose cone for wood and then the mods are almost done.

Trailer looks a bit higher too now with the new blades, and definately sways a lot less behind the Paj..

Looking ready for expedition.

You must also consider mudflaps on the front if doing long gravel stretches as the gravel do a good sandblasting job on the plastic sidesill covers of the Gen3 Pajero, and once there can only be removed with a new paint job.

Dont underestimate the strength of the Pajero monocoque(first word to learn spell as Gen3/Gen4 owner   ),it is pretty amazing. Here I am lifting on the steel replacement bumper and I could still open all the doors with no hassles at all.

PS As you can see from my expression, I was not impressed to change tyres in mid day heat :D
