Found a spot of oil on the drive under the passenger side in front of the left hand front wheel.

Looks like the lower joint of the power steering "Return pipe B" is leaking.

Did a search - found a few reports of power steering pipe joints weeping (as a result of internal perishing) on the Aussie Pajero forum.

Went to Sandown Mitsubishi in Bryanston - Parts are no longer open on a Saturday morning - you can buy a whole car, just not parts - duh!

Will get price and availability Monday and could well end up getting a replacement sourced from an industrial hydraulic systems supplier.

yes.....no.... turns out it is for the cable type auto-shift system. My vehicle has the linkage system that runs down the right side of the box, below and along the left side.

Do you know where the power steering was leaking and how it was fixed, because I also seem to have a leak on the PS and I can't tell quite where because it seems to have sprayed all over!

Today.......I finally had the guts to remove the dastek chip. Took it for a spin around a few blocks....all seems ok. Will se how she runs on the open road. Curious about fuel consumption. Travelling to Bloemfontein tomorrow, would like to see if I can get 10km/l.

They've replaced the seal between the pump and engine.....but there is still a small leak somewhere. Will get it checked out on the next service.

Update to my previous post.

Made the rims on my 2003 SWB black using Plasti Dip (as suggested by CATS).
Took me and my better half most of Saturday to do, but I'm very happy with the result. Applied 4 coats per wheel and left it the whole of Sunday to dry.

Rotated the wheels at the same time and applied some of the Plasti Dip to the underside of the wheel arches while I was in there.

Not sure how long it will last (sales guy reckons a year easily) but it's easy enough to redo if it does comes off.

Next thing is to Plasti Dip the roofrack... Mission for another day/weekend.

Fitted a full set of Escape Gear Dark Grey covers to my Gen4 SWB.
Ordered the set on Friday, received on Tuesday, fitted today.
Will post pics shortly.

Glad the Plastidip worked for you. I have tried a few things here and there but still need to get the courage together to try the rims. Even though the Plastidip makes it reverseable I am worried that it might look a bit "dof" on my white and silver car.
