Ruan,
Sorry Roelf that we are stealing your site but welcome to Ruan. I have had an electrical jack for a number of years - first the shorter one and about two years I replaced it with the longer jack. It saves a lot of effort and sweat. Mine sleeps behind my seat and in the container I have about 30 sn-t plugs and repair kit. All within easy reach.

Hey Cloyd, this is everybody's thread. I'm just rambling on. Nice to get interesting input.

Moon landscape? Haven't been there in ages!
I see Roelf is only putting some crumbs out here.

Probably too busy with the full trip report?
We'll give you a few more days......

Greetings One and All,
@ Roelf_le_Roux apologies again for the thread hi-jack.
I'm in the process of planning a tour to Namibia, and this tread has provided some very valuable tips... and the pictures are truly drool worthy.
I have just one question,
Have you guys driven from Luderitz to Swakopmund along the coast? (ie. though the dune area between the 2)
- does one need to obtain a permit for driving in that area, seeing as how it is part of a reserve?
- and would any of you guys be willing to share the route taken through the dunes?
Thanks in advance !!!
