Hi Guys.

I have just done some work to my Pajero. Got it back on Wednesday, wow is she running like a dream now.

Work done as follows.

New shocks - Normal Gabriel Safaris(Not HDP)
Full Major Service
Cleaned up the injectors
Serviced the Turbo
And lastly, Installed a 60mm Free Flow Pipe.

And this was done through my Brother-in-law who is a mechanic and I managed to get away with spending only R7000, Nice having a mechanic in the family.

The Pajero is now running a hell of a lot better. Whereas before I sent her in. She was struggling to 120km on the highway between Beyers Naude and New Road, always had to gear down, and lets not even talk about trying to overtake anyone. Now she is a different animal. I don't need to have the peddle to the floor anymore, and she site very comfortably at 120km, she is such a joy to drive again.

just thought I would just let you all know. seing that this is a "What have you done to your Pajero today?" Thread.

I have just done my 195k service. Had to replace the radiator cap as mine was not sealing properly and causing loss of coolant. My car is always such a beaut to drive after haydn has done his magical touches to it. He onky touches anything on my pajero. Thanks haydn

Please explain what was done to "clean up the injectors" and to "service the turbo".

What don't you understand about it?

The turbo was taken out and was checked that it was still okay. Look I don't know a lot about cars and turbos and and and... I'm just conveying what I was told when I got the car back. Apparently it was checked for play and things like that.

Then the injectors. I honestly have no idea lol... I'm not going to lie and come up with some hogwash explanation. Was just thst the injectors were cleaned up.. the reason this was done is because before the pajero went in, it had no power at all under 2000revs. Felt like a real tractor. So this put us in in the position to look at the injectors and turbo. Also with my limited knowledge, this is what I had asked my brother to look at.

Hope that clears some stuff up.

I must admit I have wondered about the likes of that myself. I am so glad you chose to be the guinea pig !
Honestly Cats I must agree with your wife. But it's a personal choice.

Me what did I do ? I went grocery shopping 'cause it is the only chance I get to drive it - the wife drives it Mon to Fri. Well at least the wife mowed the lawn while I went shopping for groceries.

Dirty Boy that took many years of training & convincing.

I added some new kit to the Paj last week.

• Frontrunner roof rack

• 2x jerry cans with bracket

• 45 litre water tank with roof bracket

• NL dual Battery setup

• Frontrunner Rooftop tent

I went to Umkhuze this weekend to test everything. Very happy with the results. Now I need to find a good price on a NL Fridge/Freezer.
