OK

We have an official invite to ALL Pajero owners in the Gauteng/Centurion area on Friday 3 June 2010:

Come join me(CATS) and Lowrange for a quick beer/cooldrink/coffee/wine at 14:30 at CHEEKY MONKEYS (Hope this is OK?) on the corner of Von Willich and Gerhard Streets in Centurion. I will bring some stickers along if anyone is interested.

I must leave there at the latest 16:00 so be there between 14:30-16:00 and let's put some faces to names.

CATS
edit - NB NB I changed the name to CHEEKY MONKEYS as Franki Bananas closed down it seems!!!!

Rubbish. Productivity is not determined by the time that you finish work on a Friday. By definition it is something like amount of work done divided by pay.

In any case, if we are talking working hours, you could put in the required hours per week by working longer each day and then have Friday afternoon off. That is exactly what many companies do.

Unfortunately - your description is wrong...

Here is the definition:
business dictionary.com wrote:Relative measure of the efficiency of a person, machine, factory, system, etc., in converting inputs into useful outputs. Computed by dividing average output per period by the total costs incurred or resources (capital, energy, material, personnel) consumed in that period, productivity is a critical determinant of cost efficiency.

Maybe - the one I work for doesn't. We have an agreement with the work force to be present in what we call "core work time" during the day. "Core work time" is defined per the agreement to 9am until 5pm. If you take off-times in between the 2 times, it's automatically "vacation hours".

Anybody who monitors hours (time) as an indication of work done, does not understand the principle of productivity at all.

(Unless you invoice your and your employees' time to your clients)

I monitor outputs / deliverables, not time.

PS Sorry for the Off-Topic excursion! :)

It depends on the business you're in .... but your defintion is one of the reasons why Europeans (and especially the British) are known as clock watchers..work 9 to 5 and no more. As an aside, according to SA law your workforce is required to have a minimum of 30 minutes lunch break, therefore your work force doesn't even work a standard 40 hr week!

In my business I am paid to deliver.. full stop... sometimes it takes me 12 hour days, sometimes 4 hours...

This OT stuff will self destruct in 30 seconds
