Is this an easy route that can be done on your own?What is the cost?

This can be a very difficult, technical course in wet weather because of all the mud and off-camber climbs. That said, in good weather the trail is not that difficult but does require a vehicle with good ground clearance due to all the ruts.

Whether or not to go alone is a question of experience. I, for one, prefer to go with at least one other vehicle. In wet weather I would say definitely go with one other vehicle.

As for price, the web sit lists R100, but when we arrived there the owner said the price was R150. He let us pay the reduced price though. Very nice man. A map is provided and the owner goes over it with you prior to departure for tips.
