SEEKING ALL GEN 2/2.5 PAJ OWNERS IN CAPE TOWN

Hi All!
Recently Anton ("tonton") and I met to arrange to put the Paj Gen 2/2.5 Owners Manual on the Forum and ended up chatting about our vans and simple cost effective improvements for a while, time which both have not planned for. The irony is that we enjoyed just chatting and checking out one another's vehicles which led me to this point.
Why can't we have more Gen 2/2.5 lads to a GTG for Cape Town and surrounding areas?
I would thus like to propose that those interested complete the list hereunder
1 Aslam Salie ("Blister") - Cape Town - 1998 Gen 2.5, 3.5L GLS LWB Auto
2 Simon Bloom ("SimonB") - Cape Town - 1996 GEN 2, 3.5l GLS LWB
3 Anton ("tonton") - Bellville - 2000 Gen 2.5 3.5L GLS LWB Man
4

etc.
I really hope the Gen2/2.5 takes off!!!!!

I think this should be combined with an Ou Trekpad get together on a weekend. No need to restrict it to gen 2's yet but I'm in anyway if you want to go for it

That's not nice not wanting to invite other Gen versions...
I would love to join, but unfortuantely I have a Gen 3. So I will wait till Simon are free for the OTP day as I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Thanks for coming onboard.
Its not that one exclude people but the idea is to be able to talk about the same type of vehicle in terms of its "mechanics" and be able to see it for oneselves on your buddy's Paj that's is similar or the same.
I would love to do a 4x4 trail but perhaps on another occasion as the idea was to just TALK, LOOK, EAT, DRINK Pajero Gen 2/2.5 and in order to do this perhaps we need to consider an afternoon at Tokai forest? We all can share a coke or a cappuccino?
Simon kindly complete the list that I started in order for us Gen2/2.5's to get to know one another a bit better

Hi Jaco!
Its not that one exclude people but the idea is to be able to talk about the same type of vehicle in terms of its "mechanics" and be able to see it for oneselves on your buddy's Paj that's is similar or the same.
This does not mean that a club outing to Ou Trekpad for everyone in the club should not go ahead!

I agree that we should not exclude others in GTG's, but welcome the idea of discussing Gen 2 issues with one another. Maybe a thread specifically on Gen 2 issues will also work well for this.
The Cuppo' sounds nice, though (you do have contacts in the coffee industry, don't you?
). Still, I would like all to feel welcome there. Some Gen 3/4 owners may have owned Gen 2's in the past and can be very informative in sharing their experiences.

We have discussed this a few times and we made a concious decision not to make any vehicle specific fora as the technology tends to be shared as generations of vehicle evolve.
We also prefer not to have vehicle specific threads where general issues are discussed. This causes threads to become long, confusing and generally start to become less and less useful.

Good practice...but note I am having hassles with the PM system and some do go missing
