Hi
I'm planning on installing some LED strips in my PJ. what size fuse should I use between the LED's and the battery? Can I use any rocker switches or is there specific one's?
I see that you get LED bulbs for break / indicator lights but that the voltage difference can mess up. What do you need to do to rectify this?

These little wonders of modern science do not draw large amounts of current and you would ideally only add a fuse to protect the wiring. I would recommend about 60% of the carrying capacity of your cable, that should give you a comfortable margin. Not drawing a lot of power you could use almost any switch that looks good in that application.
These led bulbs are not too sensitive about voltage as long a you do not exceed 15.5 for too long. Your recifier in the alternator usually limits it to around 14.5 and the ones in my park lights have been in for more than a year without drama

I have 50 x 5mm Round UltraVolet/purple LED & 470ohm resistor 1/w(12V used) lying at home if you need some.

I am VERY keen on this technology and would like to replace ALL my interior globes as well as outside brake, flasher etc globes with these, but don't know where to find a reputable supplier. I would need to go to someone and check each bulb for a replacement LED and I also don't want to buy chinese junk which drops me soon after the sale.
WHERE can one find these things and someone that can give honnest advice on the application in Gauteng?

I did find a website selling these, still testing the delivery. Order my first cigarette flashlight and quality good. Ordered another 7 as well as 1m LED strip so waiting for that to come. Unfortunately, ships from Hong Kong. I know Andy Faber here in Western Cape is well known for his LED products.
The question regarding the brake / indicator lights is I read that if you change your brake lights to LED but keep your third (middle top) brake light, then it do not work so well together due to the difference in resistant. so not sure what the best way forward.
Can one just replace the indicator lights with LED's ? Must you replace all (back, side and front) so that the resistant is the same?

LED supplier for interior and external lighting needs in CT = Chuma Drawer Systems / Re: Andy Faber
Don't have the ph number this minute, but let me know if you don't come right, and I'll search for it. Can do an e-mail search too.
Fitted these LED's to my roof lights and and extra 5 LED light over my drawer system.......BEST THING I COULD HAVE DONE
I now have 2x with extended leads - To use for any application outside the SUV,
2x on portable lantern/torches,
AND A MULTIPLE LED WORKING LAMP - EXCELLENT LIGHT / MINIMAL POWER USAGE, and...... can fit anywhere in a +- 5 meter radius from the vehicle (ie - not permanently fixed onto rear of SUV)
I know the initial expense might seem a little high, BUT, well worth it !!
