Pajero Owners Club of South Africa

I have upgraded to the 2010 3.2 (shorty) with new 140kw engine. As an apparent bonus (besides the engine) the Pajero now comes standard with a CASKA in-car entertainment system. My verdict is still out on its gaudy colors, but it appears to work just fine. It also comes with a Garmap Drive SatNav system.

My SatNav is extremely touchy. Of the five days that I've had it, it hasn't worked for three (60% failure rate!). This "hasn't worked" has got to do with the system's inability to successfully "find" valid connections. Does anyone have any information? I would sorely appreciate any feedback.

Besides that, the new engine is a beauty, as is the new transmission - way less hunting. Turbo-lag much better.

Congratulations on your new baby. My one is also a shorty, one month old and I am loving it. I upgraded from a 2007 shorty. Fully agree with you on the colours of the entertainment system, engine and transmission. The caska system is south african and their support staff are very good. Give them a call at http://www.caska.co.za/caska-and-planet-electronics for their advice. It could be a setting on the system that needs tweeking. My sat nav has been working, hence the suggestion.

Loving my new Shorty!

Planet Electronics in Pretoria showed what the meaning of service is. Replaced a faulty antenna with a smile. Thanks to Clide, SatNav works like a dream now.

Simon, is it possible to build a list of service suppliers that come recommended by members?

Who knows, someone may face a similar need soon, but then this post is lost and forgotten.
