He works for Springbok plant hire and bought this baby from a co-working for R48000. 2.6 petrol with 299998km on the clock.
Original everything!! in really great nick and as you can fully rigged. He just came back from a 9000km Malawi trip with her. I have to admit I is a little jealous

Another "real" Pajero!
Those Gen1 Pajeros still do it for me!
Tough as nails, and years ahead of other 4x4s of it's era.

Outch!
Is it only the cabin, or did it stall due to water?
Drying out the cabin is one thing, but don't start that engine unless you know that it did not suck in water!
I'm sure the electrical system didn't like the water either! I recon you have to open up all electrical covers to give it time to dry out.
Obviously it is easy to replace oil and filter if water got into the sump somehow, but is it viable to suck water out of the piston chambers, or what is the correct procedure to handle a drowned engine?
Back to topic: What is the story behind your buurman's LR wheel cover?

Engined sucked water badly it seems, waiting for Tuff Stuff to appoint the assessor. (Ps. There is only one insurer out there, and it is Tuff Stuff) They are super efficient, I had zero trouble with the call and the towing service!! But let me tell you, seeing your baby in the back of a truck is not good emotionally!!!
Back to topic, when my Neighbor was in Malawi he had three dudes with landies with him, they had a ball during the day recovering each other, Pajero and Landy.
That evening around the Camp fire they decided that the Pajero is so all round good that it has to be a Land Rover. Hence they torched his wheel cover(I'm sure everyone was well into their Captain and coke by then) and provided him with one of theirs.

Andre,
Are you back on the road, or are you still fixing Swartskaap?
