What to expect from my 3.2 lwb later on

Hi guys.

My 2006 3.2 lwb is currently sitting on 145 000km. She was under Motorplan until 140 000km, and now a 2 year, unlimited mileage Motorite warrantee kicked in.

Just before the motorplan expired I had her in the workshop for a complete look over. Mitsubishi replaced disks and pads right round, major service, replaced all the V belts, checked the propshaft, couplings, bushes etc.

I am fairly new to the wonderful world of Pajero, so I am not sure what to expect when she starts nearing the 200 000km mark.

What is a typical life for these engines? Again, I understand that it is all dependent on how you drive etc etc.

Is the turbo's fairly reliable when you take care of them?

I am fairly clued up on my BMW's, so i do understand the concept of standard wear and tear.

I enjoy my Pajero very much and would like to keep her for a few years more. Just like to know what to expect.

Thanks guys

Jip. Barely run in. Regular oil and filter changes and she will be happy for a long long time. The only items to watch are

The oil pressure sensor - https://www.pajeroclub.co.za/forum/view ... =55&t=1856

I would say that it is always prudent to have the Injectors and pump checked by a reputable diesel specialist every 100 000km or so. My 2001 model is at 245000km and I had this done and had to replace the injectors once.

Other than that the items that 4EPikanini mentioned is about it to keep it going.

I have also replaced front wheelbearings around 160 000 IIRC and had the rear ones done at the last service.

Thank you for the info gentlemen.

She is due for a service at 150 000km, so I will make a point of having them check, especially the top cam guide.

I was thinking I want to swing past Mitsubishi and get the Motorplan history on the car.

I know I have a leaky shock at the back, so will get that done as well.

After folowing this thread I think I must also change my upper chain guide since my 2001 3.2 DID stands on 207 000 km and I dont know if its been changed before.
I phoned the agents and found that this part are not realy expensive, R68,00.
I hope its the right part, the part nr I had used were, 1140A026.
