Where is the best place in joburg to buy tyres?
I've been getting a few email quotes, and they vary a lot, but still seem a bit high.
I'm looking for a 265/65 R17 Bridgestone dueller HT for my Gen 4...
best price so far has been @ broadacres fitment centre - about R2900 for a tyre! (not sure if we can quote names / prices on this forum).
But i've had other quotes ranging all the way up to R4k!
Was thinking this tyre should be around R2k...
Any ideas?

May I suggest you speak to Naas at HiQ Dastek, I know it is not in JHB, but he will provide you with good prices and advise - I have been going there for many years now and will not use anybody else. contact details: 012 347 4003/4 ask for Naas.

First of all sorry management for not keeping in touch.Had some issues.defacto and earthquakes.Live in Canterbury.Still have swb3.5.Love the look of the scorpions but you cant buy 33s here at the moment.Maxxis buckshots for me i think.Will send some pics .Again sorry and take care

Thats a Damn good price......... I negotiated a place in Pineslopes down to R2400 a tire for BFG AT's.

I've previously bought Bridgestones from after a phoned around a lot for the best prices:
SupaQuick Blackheath close to Cresta - good price, good service
SupaQuick Selby Jhb - good price, not such good service

I don't think they wanted your business.
Earlier this year I paid R1900/ea and last year R1800/ea for Duellers D694 AT 265/75/16's.

Yep, unfortunately I need the D840
- just need the 1 tyre, since front 2 and the spare are all brand new 840s (front 2 fitted by dealer before purchase). they are really expensive. grooves are slightly more spaced - looks a bit less like a road tyre, but sho!
Got one for way less outside JHB, tho.
After this set I will probably change to another type/brand of tyre.
