Anybody using these Bike Carriers that strap onto the sparewheel? Who supplies them? , cost? , how many bikes can they safely take?

I use them. Never had an issue but mine only takes 2 bikes. The offset doesn't quite cater for the offset spare wheel so get slightly more overhang on the one side.
Any decent bike shop should have them. Cost about R450 IIRC

I have a Thule that bolts onto the inside of the spare wheel. Very secure but it can also only fit two bikes and it does not work with Xplorer on tow as the clearance is to little between the bike and caravan at angles.

I have a "Hollywood Racks" 2 bike carrier that straps onto the spare wheel. It's nice and compact and the offset works perfectly for the Gen3. I have used it when towing my trailer but obviously it reduces clearance between the vehicle and the trailer so caution is required.

You folks are driving Pajero now so no need for alternative transport when they break down
If serviced regularly these vehicles are so reliable that you can take them anywhere without fear of having to walk

I use the Trapezium, bolts onto the towbar and can carry three bikes, you have to get the goose neck extension to be able to get access to the back of the bus, safe and very secure,no problems.

I have been looking now for a rack made by Trapezium, like Simon has on his Paj, I cankt seem to find 1 up in Gauteng.
Does anybody know where I can find one or who the manufacturer is so I can make contact with them.
Thanks
David
