Hi All..

My Name is Jimmy and have just recently bought a Pajero and I'm very interested in learning more about it, and what I can do with it. So I decided to sign up to this forum and start learning.

So more about myself, and then the car.

Age: 26
Birthday: 27 April 1985
Occupation: Cable and IT Support Technician
Residance: Guateng, Roodepoort
Hobbies: Paddling(Dusi And Fish river Canoe Marathons) And offroading.

The Car.

Okay, So i dont really know much about it as I am VERY Fresh to 4x4 and offroading and the most that I have done so far is go to Bosvark here is Krugersdorp to learn a few things. Alright so what I know about the car is the following.

1999 Pajero 2.8 Intercooler Turbo Diesel, LWB, Facelift...

That is all that I can really say about it as I dpont know much more.I am hoping that, that is enough to be pointed in the right direction.

Well thanks, thats me and my Paj. I hope to hear soon from people with good advice, ie; what to look out for, pros and cons and such...

Thanks

Hi Jimmy,

You bought a Pajero so definately on the right road (looking to get offroad of course :-))

There are Mitsubishi days at Krugersdorp game reserve where you can get to learn a little about your Paj and get to meet a few 4x4 guys at the same time, have a look here www.passport2adventure.co.za I think the next one is in April. Why not pst a pic or 2, always nice to see other members rides. There are alot of clever guys on this forum and very helpful too!

Cheers

David

Hi Davidvan.

Yes for sure, very much looking to get offroad, Getting my Pajero back this evening, I had to send it in to get a few things sorted out. Only problem it still has now is the diff lock, But i'm sure I can do some stuff for now with out the diff lock.

Thank you very much on responding, I will definately have a look at the link you posted. I cant wait to start doing some real offroading..

Just regarding the Diff Lock, I'm not 100% sure exactly what is wrong but Could anybody give me some advice on this?

There are some pictures on Facebook of me and the Paj at Bosvark Look for Jimmy Mollentze And you can check some picks, though soon I will post some pics..

Thanks again and I am sure that I will learn a lot

Hi Jimmy,

Regarding the difflock, I would suggest posting a topic under drivetrain around what the problem/symptons are, sure one of the guys will be able to assist, I have got a Gen3 and believe the difflock functioning to be a little different unfortunately.

Cheers
