Planet electronics system problems

I have purchased the 3.2 GLX (LWB) last year in June. So far my experience with the vehicle has been very posetive, except for the communication system. First the bluetooth wouldn't accept any calls from Blackberry phones. After complete replacement, the system is now seriously confused. Mitsubishi has admitted that there is a problem and planet electronics has no stock. I've heard via the grapevine that there are quite a few quality issues regarding this system. Fact is that I'm not getting an answer when the problem will be re :? solved. Does anybody have some knowledge of this and what Mitsubishi is doing about it?

Does the Pajero come standard with the Caska unit, as supplied locally by Planet Electronics?

I looked into the Caska unit, as an "upgrade" for the Touareg, and decided I will wait until I can afford something non-Chinese, such as a Kenwood Excelon DNX9980HD.

Hi Egon,

I know a director at Planet. He said the following in a mail to me:

"Thanks for the info. We are working on a new system for them at the moment and should have a solution reasonably soon.

That being said, we DO have stock and can repair any of the units that are giving problems. Is there any way of getting hold of this guy?"

If youd like, send me your contact details and Ill pass them on, he'll get you sorted quickly!

Cheers...

Gerard: Planet has a contract with Mitsubishi to fit the Caska unit to every new Pajero sold. Its an awesome system, and retro fits perfectly into most vehicles, links into your steering controls if you have and works like a charm, really good units! Take a look here for more info:

Hi Adrian,
Thanks so much for your effort. This does put quite a different angle onto the whole saga. I assume that Mitsubishi is waiting for the new version, which I'm happy to do. If only they would inform me. I'll contact them first of all to verify. The director can contact me directly on ulfh@unitemp.com .
Cheers
