Is there any body who has a 6 spoke 17" rim that they have to sell because I need a second spare, buying a new one is expensive a 6k

Gert if I were you, for a second spare I would source a steel rim of the same size, together with the correct wheel nuts.
It will be far cheaper than an OEM rim.

Thanks Simon on your reply I'm on my way to go and look a some that I managed to locate but if they are damaged I think I will follow your advice
16" Rim and tyre will be cheaper and should fit.

Apart from the GLX's narrow 16" steel rims, I think you will battle to find steel rims with the correct offset. The Paj uses rims with quite a large offset and the steel rims typically have 0 offset, so these steel wheel will protrude past the wheel arch on the Paj. They might still work as spare wheels.

You can find white steel rims that should work (at your local tyre and/or rim dealer). The Gen 2 Pajero's original aluminium rims are 15 x 7JJ with six holes on a PCD of 139.7mm (5.5") and with 10mm offset.
The white steel rims that you are likely to find would be 15 x 7 with six holes on a PCD of 139.7mm and with an offset of 0mm. The center bore will be 108.7mm. They will fit your vehicle, but will place the center of the tyre 10mm further outboard than the standard rims. This should be OK to use as a spare, provided that you also get a set of wheel nuts of the appropriate kind for steel rims.

Simon, I don't think there will be any major issues with doing that. The main difference would be the 10mm difference in offset, which would increase your track width by 20mm.
The 7JJ refers to the rim section width in inches (the 7) and the rim profile (the J or JJ or whatever). The JJ profile has tyre bead retainer ridges at both flanges of the rim and this is important because it allows the tyre to be run at low pressure with less risk of debeading. I am not sure whether the white steel rims have these: it would be something to check.

Will it be save to fit the white steel rims (venter type rims???) I know that you have to take into consideration if it's stud of spigot mounted as well. The reason I ask our company imports those steel white rims (for a 4x4 type jeep we manufacture) and it came to mind if I can use those rims to fit off road tyres on without having to drive with them permanently and have them stored. Will it work?
