Auto gear change revs

Hi,
on an auto Did, when is the box suppose to change gears?
I have read a couple of posts where people talk about 2500rpm,
the way I drive she changes around 2000rpm, more than often below that, is it my driving or is there something wrong?
What effect would this have on consumption?

the gear change is intelligent.

depending on your driving style the gear change will change at different revs and at different ferocity taking into factor the instant throttle position.

Mine also change at 2000 sometimes under that. I think it is because the wife sits in traffic the whole week.

If I have my foot at a certain position I can maintain 2150 rpm constantly while it accelerates and shifts through the gears without you even noticing. Feels like a CVT if you drive in a certain way. The revs stay exactly constant but the car accelerates.
