I have a 2008 LWB diesel (which I really enjoy) . Done about 90k now. Some time ago I noticed if my window is open the turbo whistles slightly. Should I be worried or am I being paranoid? Really awesome vehicles!

Same with my 07 GLX BK model. quite loud, especially when revving around 1500rpm ... bothered me at first but its now on 105k km and still going strong.

Its whistling to tell you it is still working fine and enjoying the drive! Mine is now on 274000km and still whistling along going about its duty without a care in the world!

I agree with Cats, my 2004 with 219 000 and dad's previous 2001 with 355 000 on the clock also reminded us every time that they enjoyed the ride, even if its just to pick n pay

I read a while ago it has to do with the variable nature of the turbo.

I have a similar whistle sound on my 3.8V6 - after extensive research I concluded it's the petrol whistling down the fuel line from the tank
