In the latest 'Weg Ry' is a pic of a pj and her owner, very well kitted, 2000 model, 300+k km.
Latest 'Leisure Wheels' have a pj as their project car, R500k car (glx) + R200k worth of upgrades - serious pj but the aftermarket stuff they used are very expensive.

I read that article while waiting for them to get all the dust out of mine. Very cool military green Pajero.

I also liked the custom replacement bumpers, they look better (not too heavy) on the Pajero than most I have seen.

Very nice outfit, I wonder if they need somebody to take it some place nice...?

Just a pity they went overboard with the spots.

They have now rendered the vehicle unroadworthy by mounting spots on the roof-rack. Not good for a major motoring publication.

Not a problem if the vehicle is for off-road use only.

Good point re. the "illigal" spots. I just thought they went overboard.

The concept of taking a white Pajero and turning it a soft green (somewhere between military and British Racing Green ) AND protecting the paint at the same time really grabs my attention. R20k for the job is most probably the only extra on that car worth the price. Wonder how that "greenjob" will look after a few years of sun and rain?

What troubles me about this article (and other 4x4 stuff in general) is that it seems I have lost my calibration towards reality wrt pricing and value .
The prices of the stuff they added are mind boggling, and it is excluding vat and fitment ????
6500 for additional 45l diesel tank and I dont think the steel going into that is more than R1000 (or is it plastic?, which is even worse then),
LED spot lights at R10k ??
New rims and tyres to the sum of R28000, why ?????
o well, I like the pj in 'WegRy' more because it is not so overboard and is used as intended.

Which Wegry is this? I have the Aug 2012 edition and there is nothing. My local Spar also only still have the Aug edition. Is there a Sept edition out already?

Law states that only one pair of spots may be fitted to a vehicle and that it must be lower than the bonnet of the vehicle.

Many people don't know the law or simply don't care and put as many spots as they can all over the vehicle.

I just thought the magazine could point out the fact that their fitment of spots on the roof-rack may not be legal.
