Hi Guys
I was browsing Alibaba website and found this supplier. They apparently manufacture OEM parts for Mitsu and deliver to OZ, nigeria, saudi etc....
http://tlautoparts.en.alibaba.com/productlist.html
Is there anyone who has used them before, if so could we maybe not set up a buyer group on/through the forum to keep the quantities up?
I priced a windscreen washer pump from the stealers, R 775.29 ex VAT. On the website from the manufacturer
http://tlautoparts.en.alibaba.com/produ ... 92642.html is approx $ 10.00 os so depending on quantity and excluding import duty. No wonder they have earned the nickname, "stealers"... about 1000% markup...
Anyone else keen??

Hi Nick
I'm not sure if you eventually went ahead with this but I bought complete set of ABS wheel speed sensors for my blister 3.5V6 through these guys. Super fast shipping and a priced at about 5% of dealers locally, which had a 6-8 week lead time too.
I can highly recommend it.

I bought a ballast for my touareg on alibaba.
Paid via paypal.
The ballast arrived but it wasn't as described.
The headlight goes on but the CAN-bus comms don't work and the self levelling function doesn't work.

Hi,
I was told by one of the dealers in an African country north of us that all South Africa's Mitsubishi parts actually come from a main distribution center in Dubai. (Although made in Japan originally). They don't buy their parts from Imperial or via Sandown (Merc sales networks)
So if you really want to make some gains, you need to find the contact in Dubai.
There are many non-OEM part suppliers for mitsubishi, like Depo autolamps. They have a brilliant range for the Pajeros and make good quality products. Just a pity if you talk to the local Depo distributors they are very unhelpfull to bring in the lights. Suppose one could also just buy direct.

When Imperial bought Mitsu SA, they moved their parts distribution hub form Japan to Dubai to reduce lead time. That move created its own problems of course. Read all about it in this thread about the meeting between Mitsu and POCSA at this link:
