The best place for servicing a new(old) Pajero
Hi all,

I have recently bought a 98 (I believe Gen 2) Automatic 3.5 V6 and would like to service it before my trip to the Kruger.

Can anyone recommend the best place to take it and will not charge an arm and a leg( have to save for petrol ;) )

I live in bassonia, the south of joburg.

Thank you:)

Mitspro - they're in Centurion and the're details are somewhere here on this forum. search the thread.

Call ahead and ask Freek about stock levels. there's a general shortage for a while now. Something to do with the Imperial buy-out from MBDC

Dennis,

You may think Mitspro is far from you, but they come highly recommended. Tell them you picked their detail up on this forum - they are aware of the forum.

Search MITSPRO on the forum to get their detail (along with maaaaany recommendations)

Try Alan Black in Benoni. They do all the diesel pump services and now also service Pajero's. Havebt tried the service side yet, but found the other side very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

Re: The best place for servicing a new(old) Pajero
Hi Everyone

I'm quite new to this forum and was wondering if anybody had any current info on where best to service my 3.8l V6 in the JHB PTA region? I currently reside in Malawi and my vehicle is with friends in Centurion so the service guys would need to be rather trustworthy as I won't be there to check up on the outcome. I would be much obliged for any info! I have as of now contacted Mitspro who are not being very responsive which is of course no use to me when I am 2500km away and only have a VSAT link for mail!! :(

Cheers

@deltazane - perhaps best to find out first as to why Mitspro does not seem responsive to your request. :o
Understand that they are a 'moms&pops' business therefore not that techie with comms, and they concentrate on what they do best...and that is fixing Pajies. Also they are always very very busy...however the two nice ladies at admin/front office are always very obliging, so is all the staff and the boss...who can't do enough for you...OR he fancies me!

I am sure that due to distance, this cannot be easy for both parties. Suggest you email me (bkessler@talentline.co.za) with a few suggested dates, and i will make booking on your behalf; your friend/contact can pay them direct i am sure, as they dont release cars unless payment is made. 8-)
