EGR for 2004, 3.2 did

Dear pajeroclub,
my 2004 pajero 3.2did started to have issues with the EGR valve.
black smoke and warning lamp on the dashboard.
What do you recommend? blank it off, drill holes, cut of electronics, buy a new or used one?
