Good day.

I have a 1994 Shogun 3500 V6. I need some advise on upgrading the suspension without replacing all the coil springs and shocks. The main goal will be to try and get some more ground clearance.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thank you.

The only way to get additional ground clearance:

Front axle: (any of the following)
  • Larger wheels (tyres and/or rims)
  • Raised suspension (tweaked torsion bars (beware of CV angles!) / shock-n-spring replacement for shocks)
  • Ball joint flip (beware of CV angles!)
  • Converting to solid front axle
Rear Axle:
  • Larger wheels (tyres and/or rims)

Approach / departure angles can be improved by
  • Larger wheels and
  • Raised suspension.
  • Body lift.
  • Modified / off-road bumpers
