Hi Everyone, greetings from Central America!

I would like to ask you about the symptoms of a faulty Boost Sensor and Butterfly on a DI-D 2002, my Montero is being slow and weak going uphills, scanner says butterfly and boost sensor, now,is there something I need to check before changing these two sensors? I have moved the injection pump forward to get rid of the excesive gray smoke. Thanks in advance!

The boost sensor is located next to the diesel filter.

To eliminate the butterfly just unplug the 2 vacuum tubes at the throttle body or disconnect the electrical plug. ( you will have either the vacuum tubes or electrical plug, not both) - doing this will light up the CEL but will not affect driving performance (ie. no limp mode)
