I have recently bought a 2003 Pajero 3200 DiD LWB , it has 244000km on the clock and only has service history up to 200000km . I need to find a reliable and reasonable mechanic in Natal who can check through everything and do a full service for me . Does anyone know of a place ? I have been told that the agents here on the south coast are very pricey .Any info would be greatly appreciated

Hi I am in Pinetown and would not mind also receiving information relating to a reliable private mechanic for Pajero.
Even though my vehicle has a 100 00 km service plan and I have only done 25 000
So my post is two fold
I have found Pajero Pinetown very professional and with good knowledge of the vehicle. They would probably be pricey and not what you are looking for but would in my view still be an option if you do not get any posts
I have realy enjoyed owning my vehicle and have just completed 8 000km most also towing a caravan of 900 kg (when unloaded)
Went all the way to Kalahari and then Lambert bay and back to Durban!
Thanks for the opportunity to post my comments

I bought my first Pajero - a Gen3 SWB 3.2 DiD - in Pinetown, from Palm River Motors. That was about 7 years ago. My brother bought that one from me, and it's now done 300 000 km. It started my love affair with these vehicles. Between my wife and I, we now own 2 - both DiDs - one LWB and one SWB. One auto, and a manual.
I am giving you this background because Palm River Motors in Pinetown have been brilliant in looking after these vehicles for us. Kobie and Johan have run their own show for 20 years - after being properly trained in the McCarthy Group. They have never let us down. They are well networked in the industry, and so will be able to help you with any 'outwork' too. Their number is 031-7010820.
We now live in Howick, but we still get anything we need done through Kobie and Johan - except the Injector Pump and Injectors (Alan Black is best for this).
