Used engine oil removal
Hi Guys,
Anyone know how to get engine oil off paving and tarmac. Dont ask how it all got there, id be too embarassed to tell.

Thanks Wilddog
Re: Used engine oil removal
Prepsol (it is bio-degradable, won't kill grass).

Wet area.
Spray Prepsol.
Leave for 20 min.
Rinse off.
Repeat, if necessary.

(A high pressure washer helps a lot!)

+1
And a wire brush + elbow grease after spraying the Prepsol and during the rinse off phase. (I won't ask why you need to know if you don't ask me how I know).

Re: Used engine oil removal
Do we need a poll as to how the oil got on the paving?

  • No container under the sump.
  • Container in the wrong place
  • Container to small
  • Container moved
  • Container knocked over
  • a combination of the above
  • to embarrassing to post on any forum
Come on, out with the truth!

I thought of that one, but the heading ("Used") eliminated that one, I thought! :D

Oops, non of us would EVER do that.

I hope you have learnt from this. The trick is to phone a friend claiming you have some beer that you would love to share but also need to do a little job on the Paj, but not to worry you will come to him and he can watch you work, IN HIS DRIVEWAY !

if you make the same mistake, leave ex friend with remaining beers and get out of there quick.
