Aerial for Pajero Gen 2
Hi Guys
I hope your cats are doing well and purring magnificently both on and off the road.
I have a generation 2 pajero that has an aerial that extends and retracts automatically at the touch of a button on the dashboard. Recently I had a tough ride through a bumpy dustroad. The vibrations damaged the aerial system and now it can no longer extend or retract on its own. When you press the button to retract it, you just hear the whinning sound of some motor, but the aerial doesnt move.

The question is does anyone out ther know how to dismantle and fix this kind of arial? If so please assist.

Regards
Luckmore
Re: Aerial for Pajero Gen 2
Sounds like the spiral core has stripped, but hopefully it is just loose. On the Gen 3 you can undo the aerial top from outside (base of the aerial) but to get to the motor you have to remove the mud cover inside the wheel arch. Either take the wheel off, or turn the steering all the way left so that you have easy access. I replaced my electric aerial with a whip aerial the second time it got damaged. Non-agent replacement on the Gen 3 was R 780 a few years ago! Whip aerial R 129
If you can feel the grass between your toe's, your flying too low!
