Car shudders when idling

My 2010 Pajero 3.2DiD shudders when idling, particularly in the cold weather. Mitsubishi Service says "we'll watch it", whatever that means.
Is this something to be concerned about?

Describe "shudders" a bit better.
Do you experience it while the car is stationary, or when pulling away?
Is it like "vibrate" or like a clutch that does not take smoothly?
What are the idle rpm?
Does it get better if you increase the idle rpm to say 900-1000 rpm?

Sorry, that was a bit vague!
It just idles roughly at around 750rpm and is fine once the revs increase. The strange thing is that this doesn't happen all the time. Some days the idling is rough, on other days it is fine.

Diesel engines are never really 'smooth', especially when cold.
If it smooths out when hot, I would not worry about it.
I would recommend you try the 2-stroke oil "muti" though.
Add Mineral 2-stroke oil to your diesel at 1:200 ratio, and see whether it does not improve the general smoothness and performance.

Have a look to see if the throttle plate is adjusted correctly

Failing that I suspect your EGR valve may be stuck open or the injector tips are failing.
Have the dealer scan the car for codes.

Many thanks for all your help.
I'll try the oil trick & other tips and if those don't work, at least I know what to tell the dealer at the next service!
