Hi All, where in Cape Town and surrounds can I go to have spotlights installed on my Gen 2's bumper? Someone donated a pair of IPFs to me. Any idea of the costs involved? I only have the lights and no wiring kit, switch etc
Thank you very much in advance

Spot light installation is quite an easy DIY job. Go to any Midas or Auto zone, tell them what you want to do, they will supply you with a relay, switch, wires, lugs and fuses to do the job. Will probably only come to R200-R300 for parts.
See attached diagram for wiring schematic.
Or you can go to an auto electrician (motolek etc..) to do it for you for close to a grand for parts and labour.

remember the gen2 can't use the normal relay feed as it uses negative switching on the headlights.
Give the sparky this diagram to make the job easier for him

Cool, I didn't know the Gen 2's used negative switching (my hilux also had negative switching), my gen 3 has positive switching however. Good to know.

Thanks guys. I will have to take it to someone as I do not trust myself to do the DIY. I was thinking of asking Megaworld to do it as holes need to be drilled in the standard bumper and the job they did of mounting KCs on my donor's ARB bumper seems decent?
