There is an orange warning light oil can and wave below the can. It is under the rev counter side bottom row. Can someone please help what it is there is no discription in the manual.

It's the low oil level light. Check your oil level in the morning. Fill to 5mm above maximum.

I checked the level and filled it as you said the light still comes on. It is the 2.8 tdi 1998 model any other suggestions as to what warning this is?

I am still looking for help with the orange oil can warning light on the 98 2.8tdi. It is on the bottom row in the middel of the rev counter.

Possibly a faulty oil level sensor?
I have the same issue on my Gen 3
On your next service have it replaced, +- R1000 incl labour.
